When a family opens their home to foster care, they face an average of $1,000 in upfront costs — cribs, bunk beds, car seats, baby gear, and sometimes even home renovations to add windows or closets to meet bedroom requirements. We want no family to say no because of that number.
The average cost to adopt a child in the United States ranges from $20,000 to $45,000. We've heard "we'd love to adopt, but we just can't afford it" too many times. Our goal is to change that sentence for at least 15 families this year.
We supported over 50 foster families in 2023–2024 — covering back-to-school supplies, Christmas gifts, and summer camp fees for every child in the home, both foster and biological. In 2025, we're doing it again for at least 25 families.
Foster and adoptive families sometimes face unexpected legal challenges. We've already helped one family navigate a court battle and we're committed to continuing to stand in the gap when families need it most.
As we travel the country, we're partnering with organizations like AGFCN and Commission 127 to help local churches build the infrastructure, heart, and resources needed to launch their own foster care ministries.
